**Mumbai, India –** Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering in Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed six times during a home invasion at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. According to police, the attacker, who demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore (approximately $120,000 USD), is believed to be connected to one of Khan’s staff members, who is currently being interrogated.
Khan’s son, Ibrahim, rushed him to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw, with the knife still lodged in his back. Doctors successfully removed the knife, which was dangerously close to his spine, during neurosurgery. While sustaining two deep back wounds and a minor neck injury, Khan is now reported to be in stable condition and out of danger. Plastic surgery was also performed to address other wounds.

The investigation is focusing on the possibility of an inside accomplice, with police questioning staff members. Although theft is suspected as the initial motive, details are still emerging.
