Thu Jan 16 19:17:19 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Airport Launches Fast Track Immigration Program

**HYDERABAD, January 17, 2025** – Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad has launched a new fast-track immigration program aimed at streamlining travel for Indian and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. The “Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme” (FTI-TTP), virtually inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday, utilizes pre-verification of travelers to expedite both arrival and departure processes.

Eight electronic gates – four for arrivals and four for departures – have been installed at the airport to facilitate the program. Eligible individuals can apply online, providing biometric data (fingerprints and facial images) and other necessary information. Airport officials caution that the registration process may take up to a month, and applicants must ensure their passports have at least six months of validity remaining. Membership in the program will expire concurrently with the passport’s validity.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and the Bureau of Immigration. The FTI-TTP is expected to significantly reduce wait times for participating travelers.
