Wed Jan 15 09:58:17 UTC 2025: ## Uttarakhand Influencer Clarifies Viral “Sadhvi” Misconception at Maha Kumbh Mela

**Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh –** Harsha Richhariya, a 30-year-old from Uttarakhand, has become an internet sensation after photos and videos of her at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj went viral. Initially dubbed the “Beautiful Sadhvi” on social media, due to her traditional attire, Rudraksha beads, and bindi, Richhariya has clarified that she is not, and never claimed to be, a sadhvi (female ascetic).

Richhariya, who describes herself as an anchor, social activist, and influencer on her Instagram profile, explained in an interview that she has only received mantra initiation and is a disciple of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj of the Niranjani Akhara. Two years ago, she transitioned from a career in anchoring, acting, and modeling to focus on her spiritual journey, seeking inner peace.

Her participation in the Maha Kumbh Mela, including the significant first “Amrit Snan” (royal bath) at the Triveni Sangam, is a key part of this journey. Richhariya expressed the deep spiritual significance of the event on her Instagram account, describing the experience as deeply fulfilling.

Despite the viral attention and the misconception surrounding her religious status, Richhariya remains focused on her spiritual path, stating her commitment to Sanatan culture and religion. She emphasized that she never claimed to be a sadhvi, repeatedly clarifying this point in interviews. The viral spread of her images, however, showcases the rapid dissemination of information—and misinformation—in the digital age.
