**Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh, January 16, 2025** – A tragic incident unfolded at Revupolavaram Beach in Anakapalli district on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of a 10-year-old boy and the disappearance of a young man. A group of families from Kakinada were enjoying a picnic when 10-year-old B. Sathvik was swept away by strong tides. His 23-year-old maternal uncle, K. Manikanta, attempted a rescue but also disappeared underwater.
Fishermen later rescued Sathvik, but despite CPR and immediate hospitalization, he was pronounced dead. Manikanta’s body was recovered near Nakkapalli on Thursday morning. S. Rayavaram police have registered a case, and both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of unpredictable ocean currents.
