**Mumbai, India –** Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is undergoing emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after being injured during a home invasion at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. According to hospital officials, an unidentified intruder broke into the home shared with his wife, Kareena Kapoor, around 2:30 am.

Saif Ali Khan sustained six injuries, two of which are deep, including one near his spine and another on his neck. A doctor, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that a piece of a knife was found in the actor’s body during examination. While the extent of the damage is still being assessed, doctors have confirmed that he is able to move his limbs, indicating no serious spinal injury.

The actor was rushed to the hospital by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and a household helper at 3:30 am. A team of doctors, including neurosurgeon Nitin Dange and cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, are performing the surgery, which began at 5:30 am and was still ongoing as of 8:30 am. Lilavati Hospital’s COO, Dr. Niraj Uttamani, stated that a full assessment of the injuries will be possible only after the surgery is complete.

Police are investigating the incident. It remains unclear whether Saif Ali Khan sustained his injuries during a struggle with the intruder or was directly stabbed. The intruder fled the scene after the occupants awoke, and police have launched a manhunt. An FIR is being registered, and several police teams are working to apprehend the culprit.

Saif Ali Khan’s team released a statement confirming the attempted burglary and requesting patience from the media and fans. They emphasized that the matter is under police investigation and promised further updates.
