Thu Jan 16 11:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Packers Fans Harassed at Eagles Game, Viral Video Sparks Outrage, Fan Fired
**Philadelphia, PA** – A viral video showing two Green Bay Packers fans being subjected to vile verbal abuse by a Philadelphia Eagles fan during Sunday’s wild-card game has ignited widespread outrage. Alex Basara and his fiancée, Ally Keller, both of Chester County, Pennsylvania, described the incident to NBC10.
Initially, the couple enjoyed friendly banter with fellow Eagles fans. However, one fan sitting behind them escalated the interactions into a sustained tirade of insults, which intensified as the Eagles’ lead grew. The fan’s comments targeted Keller’s appearance and demeanour. When Keller defended herself, the fan’s insults became increasingly misogynistic.
Basara recorded part of the incident, which quickly went viral after he posted it to X (formerly Twitter). The video shows the fan repeatedly using vulgar and offensive language toward Keller. The couple reported feeling unsafe and threatened throughout the encounter, citing the overwhelming number of Eagles fans surrounding them.
While Basara attempted to de-escalate the situation by speaking to the fan’s presumed brother and offering to switch seats, the abuse continued until the fan was alerted to the recording. The couple left without contacting security, later expressing regret for not utilizing the readily available QR code for contacting stadium security.
The Philadelphia Eagles organization has since apologized for the fan’s behavior and confirmed that the individual, identified as an employee of management consulting firm BCT Partners, will be banned from future events at Lincoln Financial Field. BCT Partners subsequently fired the employee, releasing a statement condemning his actions and expressing their commitment to a respectful workplace. The former employee also issued a public apology.
Basara and Keller, while grateful for the Eagles’ response, stated they are unlikely to attend another Eagles game in Philadelphia. They have, however, indicated a willingness to attend games at Lambeau Field. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of respectful fan behavior at sporting events.
