**Mumbai, India** – Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering after a shocking knife attack at his Bandra home early this morning. The 54-year-old actor suffered six stab wounds, including one to his spine, during a struggle with an intruder.
Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital around 2 AM after the incident. Hospital spokesperson Nitin Dange confirmed that Khan underwent emergency surgery to remove a knife lodged in his spine and repair spinal fluid leakage. He also received treatment for other deep wounds to his left hand and neck. Dange reported that Khan is now stable and out of danger.
According to police, the intruder, who has been identified but not yet apprehended, gained access to the building via a neighboring compound, scaling a wall before using a rear fire escape to reach Khan’s fourth-floor apartment. Police sources suggest the attack was an attempted burglary. Khan’s house help reportedly first spotted the intruder around 2 AM, triggering a confrontation. CCTV footage has captured the intruder entering and leaving the building.

Police are investigating the role of security guards and are questioning witnesses, including Khan’s household staff. Multiple police teams are working to apprehend the suspect.
