**Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, January 17, 2025** – The newly inaugurated glass bridge connecting the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Tiruvalluvar statue in Kanyakumari district has become a major tourist attraction, leading to increased visitor numbers and infrastructural improvements.
Collector R. Alagumeena inspected the bridge on Thursday, noting the significant influx of tourists since its December 30th opening by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The bridge offers stunning sea views, enhancing the tourist experience. Anticipating a further surge, particularly during peak seasons, local authorities are enhancing transportation. The Poompuhar Boat Corporation has extended its ferry service hours.
To ensure visitor safety, approximately 35 personnel from various departments, including the Indian Coast Guard, police, revenue, and tourism, are deployed at the site. Collector Alagumeena stressed the importance of maintaining safety standards and ensuring a smooth visitor experience.
