**Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, January 16, 2025** – The Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) has announced the schedule for its upcoming Standing Committee elections. The elections will be held on February 3rd, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., at the GMC Council Meeting Hall.
GMC Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu revealed the election schedule at a press briefing on Thursday. He stated that the election notification and voter list have already been released and are available for public viewing on the GMC notice board.
The nomination process will run from January 22nd to 24th, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., at the Additional Commissioner’s chamber. Nomination scrutiny will take place on January 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the withdrawal of nominations allowed from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on January 30th. The final candidate list will be published immediately following the withdrawal deadline. After the election on February 3rd, the votes will be counted and the results announced.
Several GMC officials, including Additional Commissioner Challa Obulesu and Deputy Commissioners D. Srinivasa Rao and C.H. Srinivasa Rao, were present at the press conference.
