**INDIANAPOLIS, IN – January 16, 2024** – Purdue University has released renderings of its new 248,000-square-foot Academic Success Building in Indianapolis, a key component of the university’s growing presence in the city. The 15-story, red-brick building, slated for completion in May 2027, will be located near West and Michigan streets.
The building will house classrooms, labs, dining facilities, and student housing, and will also be available for use by local high schools. Designed to foster collaboration and experiential learning, the facility aims to provide innovative programs for Purdue students while contributing to the city’s vibrant academic landscape. Its architecture will reflect Purdue’s traditional style while integrating seamlessly with the nearby Indiana Avenue community.
Construction is expected to begin in April 2025. This new building adds to Purdue’s expanding footprint in Indianapolis, which already includes several academic buildings, Purdue Motorsports, and research facilities at various locations throughout the city. The university emphasizes its commitment to strengthening its presence in Indiana’s technological center and accelerating the state’s STEM pipeline.
