Mon Jan 13 18:13:44 UTC 2025: ## Eight Injured in Wasp Attack During Road Construction in Kerala
**KOCHI, Kerala, January 14, 2025** – Eight people, including migrant workers, were injured in a wasp attack in Pazhamthottam, Ernakulam district, Kerala, on Monday. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. while the workers were building a retaining structure for a road.
According to Panchayat council member Sathyprakash A., a swarm of wasps unexpectedly attacked the workers and a panchayat official. The workers scattered to escape the stinging insects. The attack is believed to have been triggered by accidental disturbance of a wasp nest.
The injured were initially treated at a local government hospital before being transferred to the Government Medical College Hospital (MCH) in Kalamassery for further examination and treatment. All were discharged after receiving medical attention.
