**Madurai, January 13, 2025** – The water level in the Mullaperiyar dam stood at 123.25 feet on Monday, below the maximum permissible level of 142 feet, according to a report released today. While the inflow was recorded at 215 cusecs, the discharge was significantly higher at 933 cusecs. The Vaigai dam also registered levels below maximum capacity, with a water level of 64.21 feet (maximum 71 feet), an inflow of 663 cusecs, and a discharge of 1,219 cusecs.
