Sun Jan 12 23:20:00 UTC 2025: ## BRS Leader Accuses Telangana CM of Anti-Minority Bias

**Hyderabad, January 13, 2025** – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha has accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of discriminating against minorities, alleging his political roots lie with the RSS, the ideological parent of the BJP.

Speaking to reporters in Nizamabad on Sunday, Kavitha claimed that violence against minorities has escalated in Telangana under Reddy’s watch, citing his inaction as Home Minister. She further criticized Reddy for allegedly abandoning pre-election Congress promises to minorities and failing to implement the party’s minority welfare declaration.

Kavitha also condemned recent attacks on BRS party offices, questioning the Congress party’s commitment to democracy while its activists engage in violence. She highlighted the hypocrisy of Rahul Gandhi preaching about the Constitution while his party members engage in vandalism, specifically referencing an attack on the BRS office in Bhuvanagiri. She accused the Gandhi family of ignoring the rising attacks on minorities.

The BRS leader also criticized the Reddy government’s alleged under-spending of the minority welfare budget, claiming only ₹700 crore out of a ₹3,000 crore allocation has been utilized. She also pointed out the non-implementation of a promised 10 grams of gold along with ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ assistance.
