**Hyderabad, January 13, 2025** – Collectors across several Telangana districts are working to finalize beneficiary lists and logistical details for the launch of four major government schemes on January 26th. These schemes include Rythu Bharosa (farmer support), Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa (support for landless agricultural laborers), Indiramma Houses (housing), and the distribution of Food Security Cards (ration cards).
Meetings were held on Sunday, January 12th, to discuss verification processes, field work timelines, and beneficiary selection. Mahabubnagar District Collector Viziendira Boyi outlined key details, stating that Rythu Bharosa will provide farmers with ₹12,000 per acre in two installments via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), based on cultivable land registered on the Bhu Bharati portal. Non-cultivable land, including land used for housing, industry, or government acquisition, will be excluded.
Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa will provide landless agricultural laborers with ₹12,000 annually (₹6,000 in two installments), contingent upon at least 20 days of work under the MGNREGS in 2023-24. Beneficiary lists will be presented at Gram Sabhas for approval.
The process for issuing new and updating existing ration cards was also discussed, with Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) and municipal commissioners responsible for field verification. The deadline for verifying beneficiaries for the Indiramma Houses scheme is January 15th, with lists to be displayed publicly from January 16th to 20th and approved at Gram Sabhas. Vikarabad District Collector Prateek Jain echoed similar preparations in his district. The government has released guidelines for all the schemes.
