**Hyderabad, India** – The Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana rang in the harvest festival of Sankranti with vibrant Bhogi celebrations. The festival, which marks the burning of old belongings to welcome the new year, saw widespread participation from citizens and celebrities alike.

Manchu Mohan Babu and his family, including actor Manchu Vishnu, were among those who participated in the traditional Bhogi bonfire, sharing photos online that quickly went viral. Mohan Babu emphasized the importance of continuing traditional celebrations and customs.

Former Minister R.K. Roja also celebrated Bhogi with her family, lighting a bonfire at her home and extending festive greetings.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu extended his wishes to the state’s residents, hoping the festival would bring an end to old troubles and usher in a positive outlook.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy joined in the festivities in Khammam district, where the celebrations were marked by traditional Lambadi dances. He also conveyed his Bhogi greetings to the people of the state.

Other notable celebrations included those in Mahabubnagar and Rajamahendravaram, where bonfires were lit early in the morning, embodying the spirit of the festival. MP Bharat also joined artists in celebrating the occasion.

The festivities were accompanied by a weather alert from the meteorological department predicting rain for the next three days in two districts. Numerous social media posts shared Bhogi wishes and photos, showcasing the widespread joy and enthusiasm of the celebrations.
