**Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – January 12, 2025** – Celebrated German filmmaker Wim Wenders will embark on his first-ever Indian tour in February, bringing a comprehensive retrospective of his work to five major cities. The “Wim Wenders – King of the Road – India Tour,” organized by the Film Heritage Foundation in collaboration with several Indian organizations, will showcase 18 films spanning Wenders’s six-decade career.

The tour, running from February 5th to 22nd, will include screenings in Mumbai, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, and Delhi. The retrospective will feature a diverse selection of Wenders’s films, including features, shorts, and documentaries, from his debut *The Goalie’s Anxiety at the Penalty Kick* (1971) to his recent 3D documentary *Anselm* (2023). Notable works such as *Paris, Texas*, *Wings of Desire*, *The Buena Vista Social Club*, and *Pina* will also be shown. The screenings are free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Wenders, a recipient of prestigious awards including the Palme d’Or, Golden Lion, and BAFTA nomination, will be present at the screenings and participate in events with film students and the wider film community. In Thiruvananthapuram, the screenings will take place at the Kairali theatre complex on February 10th and 11th. This multi-city retrospective promises a unique opportunity for Indian film enthusiasts to experience the breadth and depth of this influential filmmaker’s cinematic vision.
