Karimnagar, Telangana: A district review meeting held on Sunday at the Karimnagar Collectorate descended into chaos when two MLAs engaged in a heated argument and physical altercation. The incident occurred in the presence of Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Shridhar Babu, and Uttam Kumar Reddy.
The conflict erupted between Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar and Husnabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy. Kaushik Reddy questioned Sanjay Kumar’s party affiliation and demanded that he not be allowed to speak at the meeting. This led to a heated exchange, escalating into a physical confrontation where the two MLAs reportedly pushed each other.
Police intervened, removing Kaushik Reddy from the meeting to de-escalate the situation. Following the incident, Kaushik Reddy addressed the media, challenging Sanjay Kumar, whom he accused of switching parties, to resign and contest elections again. The incident highlights growing tensions within the ruling party in the region.
