Sun Jan 12 03:50:34 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ Sees Steady Box Office Performance
**HYDERABAD, INDIA – January 11, 2024** – Shankar’s latest directorial venture, “Game Changer,” starring Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, and Anjali, has shown a steady performance at the Indian box office in its second day. The film, which opened on January 10th for the Sankranthi festival, raked in ₹20.05 crore (approximately $2.4 million USD) on Saturday, bringing its total two-day collection to ₹71.05 crore (approximately $8.6 million USD).
While the film’s performance is considered respectable, it falls short of director Shankar’s previous film, “Indian 2,” which collected ₹25.6 crore on its opening day. Despite positive reviews for Ram Charan’s dual role as an IAS officer and an activist, “Game Changer” has received mixed reviews overall, with some critics pointing to outdated elements. Occupancy rates were also relatively modest, with 20.66%, 31.52%, and 36.09% for morning, afternoon, and evening shows respectively for the Telugu version. The film faces stiff competition from other Sankranthi releases, including “Daaku Maharaaj” (releasing January 12th) and “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” (releasing January 14th). The highly anticipated “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is also set to release on January 17th with added footage. Despite the competition, “Game Changer” is expected to continue its box office run.
