Fri Jan 10 20:30:00 UTC 2025: **Netflix and WWE Score a Knockout with Record-Breaking RAW Debut**
**Los Angeles, CA – January 9, 2025** – The debut of WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night RAW, on Netflix shattered viewing records and generated significant social media buzz, marking a major success for the streaming giant and the wrestling entertainment company.
The inaugural episode on Netflix drew a staggering 4.9 million Live+1 global views*, surpassing all expectations. In the US alone, the show averaged 2.6 million households (Live+SD), a 116% increase compared to RAW’s average 2024 US viewership and the highest for any Monday Night RAW broadcast in five years. The A18-49 demographic more than doubled compared to last year’s figures.
The event, held at a sold-out Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, also set new records for WWE, becoming the highest-grossing arena event in company history and boasting the highest-grossing non-Premium Live Event merchandise sales ever.
The show featured a star-studded lineup, including appearances by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, The Undertaker, Logan Paul, Travis Scott, and John Cena, who launched his year-long farewell tour. Key matches saw Rhea Ripley win the Women’s World Championship, Roman Reigns defeat Solo Sikoa, CM Punk triumph over Seth Rollins, and Jey Uso best Drew McIntyre.
The show’s immense popularity translated into a massive online presence. #WWERaw trended #1 on X (formerly Twitter) in the US, Brazil, Australia, and the UK, and generated a record 223 million social views across all platforms – more than any RAW episode in 2024.
This successful launch solidifies the partnership between Netflix and WWE, which began with a landmark deal in January 2024. Netflix now holds exclusive streaming rights for RAW in numerous territories including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Latin America. This deal also includes SmackDown, NXT, archival content and all WWE Premium Live Events internationally (excluding select markets).
