**CARACAS, Venezuela** – Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was sworn in on Friday for a controversial third six-year term, extending his rule until 2031 despite widespread allegations of electoral fraud and a brutal crackdown on opposition voices. Maduro’s victory in the July 28th election is disputed.
