**Tiruchirappalli, January 11, 2025** – Over 1,000 engineering graduates from four Anna University colleges in Tiruchirappalli received their degrees at a convocation ceremony held on Saturday. The ceremony, held at the Bharathidasan University campus, saw 1,027 students from the University Colleges of Engineering (BIT Campus Tiruchi, Ariyalur, Pattukkottai, and Thirukkuvalai) graduating.
M. Somasundaram, managing director of Amman-TRY Steels, delivered the convocation address, urging graduates to prioritize professional development, dedication to their goals, and contributions to society. Top performers, including first rank holders K. Sharon Monisha (B. Tech Pharmaceutical Technology) and M. Akash (B. Tech Petrochemical Technology), along with 13 gold medalists and 29 rank holders, were recognized at the event.
T. Senthilkumar, Dean of the University College of Engineering, BIT Campus, presented an annual report encompassing all four campuses. The ceremony was presided over by J. Prakash, Registrar; P. Sakthivel, Controller of Examinations; and P. Hariharan, director of the Centre for Constituent Colleges.
