Sat Jan 11 11:25:17 UTC 2025: ## Thousands Take Holy Dip at Tirumala Temple’s Vaikunta Dwadasi Festival
**TIRUMALA, January 11, 2025** – Religious fervor reached its peak on Saturday at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple during the annual Vaikunta Dwadasi festival. The highlight was the “Chakrasnanam” ceremony, where the idol of Lord Sudarshan Chakrathalwar was ceremonially immersed in the temple tank (Pushkarini) following a grand procession.
Thousands of devotees, who had waited patiently, joined the priests in taking a holy dip in the tank after the ritual. The event was presided over by the senior pontiff of the temple and attended by prominent officials including TTD Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao and TTD board member trustee Panabaka Lakshmi. The immersion was accompanied by chanting of sacred hymns.
