Sat Jan 11 02:21:20 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Police Arrest Key Suspect in ₹95 Crore Cryptocurrency Fraud

**Hyderabad, January 11, 2025** – The Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) announced the arrest of Kurrimela Ramesh Goud, 47, the primary suspect in a massive cryptocurrency fraud totaling ₹95 crore. Goud, from Nellutla village in Jangaon district, allegedly lured investors through a fraudulent website, “GBR,” and a WhatsApp group, promising high returns on cryptocurrency investments.

At least 44 victims, including the original complainant Arra Manoz Kumar from Karimnagar, transferred approximately ₹95 crore to Goud and his associates. However, none of the promised returns were ever delivered.

Goud has been apprehended and remanded to judicial custody. The CID is actively pursuing the remaining individuals involved in the scam.
