**Hyderabad, January 11, 2025** – A police case has been filed against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K.T. Rama Rao for leading an unauthorized rally through Banjara Hills on Thursday evening. The rally followed Mr. Rao’s questioning by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the Formula-E case.
The Banjara Hills police registered the case based on a complaint from the Traffic police, citing significant traffic disruptions caused by the rally. Charges include obstructing a public servant, wrongful restraint, and public nuisance. An officer confirmed that Mr. Rao had been served a notice regarding the unauthorized demonstration. The rally proceeded from the ACB office to the BRS party headquarters.
