**NEW DELHI –** With over 600 million speakers globally, Hindi continues its ascent as a major world language. To celebrate this linguistic powerhouse and its cultural significance, World Hindi Day (Vishwa Hindi Diwas) is observed annually on January 10th. This year’s theme, “A Global Voice of Unity and Cultural Pride,” highlights Hindi’s role in fostering international understanding and exchange.

The day serves as a platform to promote Hindi’s use across various sectors and acknowledge the contributions of its scholars and writers. While January 10th marks World Hindi Day focusing on international promotion, India also celebrates National Hindi Day on September 14th, commemorating its adoption as an official language in 1949.
