**New Delhi, January 10, 2025** – The eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) program is set to break records, with over 2.79 crore students, teachers, and parents registering from India and abroad. The Union Education Ministry announced the impressive turnout on Thursday, highlighting the program’s growing popularity in transforming exam stress into a positive learning experience.

The online registration, open from December 14th to January 14th on the MyGov.in portal, surpasses previous years’ participation, solidifying PPC’s status as a significant national initiative. The Ministry described the response as a “true Jan Andolan” (people’s movement).

This year’s interactive town hall event, scheduled for Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will feature Mr. Modi engaging with students. The program includes a variety of supplementary activities designed to promote mental well-being, including indigenous games, marathons, meme competitions, street theatre, yoga and meditation sessions, and mental health workshops.

The Ministry emphasized the program’s focus on resilience, positivity, and the joy of learning, aiming to shift the perception of examinations from a source of pressure to a celebration of education.
