Fri Jan 10 06:40:25 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Band “Maestro Boys” Makes its Mark on City’s Music Scene

**Hyderabad, January 10, 2025** – Inspired by the legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja, the Hyderabad-based band “Maestro Boys” is making waves in the city’s live music scene. Formed in 2018 by lead guitarist Sai Santosh and percussionist Pendyala Bhargav, the four-member band has garnered a dedicated following over the past six years.

Initially performing in pubs, often for free, the band built a strong base by captivating audiences with their unique approach to music. They perform covers of popular Telugu and Hindi film songs, creatively incorporating interludes, variations, and seamless mash-ups of songs by various artists and composers, including Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman. Their innovative style, which blends songs without distorting the originals, has become a signature element of their performances. The band’s repertoire includes hits featuring popular actors like Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and Surya, as well as singer Karthik.

Santosh, who also runs the Maestro Music Academy, explains that their aim is simply to entertain. The band’s manager, Eshwar Gurram, credits their success to their engaging performances and willingness to play for free in the early days, helping them establish a strong foothold in a city that initially lacked a vibrant band culture. With plans for an upcoming album, the Maestro Boys are poised to continue their ascent in the Hyderabad music scene.
