**DOOR COUNTY, WI** – Local Door County businesses will be featured in the upcoming film “Green and Gold,” set to premiere in theaters on January 31st. The movie, directed and produced by brothers Davin and Anders Lindwall, was filmed in 2021 and tells the story of a struggling farmer who risks his family farm on the Green Bay Packers winning Super Bowl XXXI in 1993.

Several Door County locations served as filming sites, including the Sawyer Family Farm in Egg Harbor, where scenes featuring actress Madison Lawlor were shot. The Stewards of Grace Ministries in Brussels also provided a backdrop for the film, as did the Blue Ox and Florian II supper clubs in Baileys Harbor.

Local residents expressed excitement about the film’s production. Farmer John Sawyer described the experience as positive, highlighting the positive impact on his farm. Thomas Athey, co-owner of Stewards of Grace Ministries, noted the filmmakers’ appreciation for the church’s setting. Former owner of the Florian II, Joe Kwaterski, commented on the excitement generated in Baileys Harbor by the filming.

Actor Craig T. Nelson, who stars in the film, expressed gratitude to the community for their hospitality and expressed hope that the film would accurately represent the spirit of Door County.

While the film’s presence on the Sturgeon Bay Cinema website is currently unconfirmed, the Lindwall brothers are actively working to secure screenings in Door County. The filmmakers and local businesses eagerly await the film’s release and the opportunity to share their unique story with audiences.
