Thu Jan 09 23:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ Faces Disappointing Pre-Release Bookings
**Hyderabad, India** – Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film, “Game Changer,” directed by Shankar, is facing underwhelming pre-release bookings despite a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani and Anjali. While social media shows some positive buzz, much of it is suspected to be paid promotion, and overall enthusiasm for the political action thriller remains low.
Advance bookings are significantly lower than those seen for recent films starring Prabhas and Allu Arjun, with “Game Changer” lagging behind other big releases like “Devara,” “Kalki 2898 AD,” “Salaar,” and “Pushpa 2.” In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film has only achieved approximately 38% booking, with strong response limited to Nelluru. The film’s performance is similarly weak in Hindi and North American markets, trailing significantly behind “Pushpa 2” on platforms like BookMyShow. Pan-India bookings are estimated at only 20-30%, resulting in a pre-release collection of around ₹40-50 crore, a stark contrast to “Pushpa 2’s” ₹167 crore.
The film’s pre-release business stands at ₹221 crore, against an estimated budget of ₹450 crore. OTT rights have generated ₹110 crore, meaning the film needs to gross ₹800-1000 crore to ensure profitability for producers. The film’s box office success hinges on positive word-of-mouth after its January 10th release.
