**Kochi, Kerala –** Kochi City police swiftly apprehended businessman Boby Chemmannur early Wednesday morning following a complaint filed by a woman actor alleging sexually explicit comments made both online and in person. The arrest comes just hours after the Ernakulam Central police registered the case on Tuesday evening.

A special investigation team, including cyber police officials, immediately tracked Mr. Chemmannur to his Wayanad farmhouse. He was apprehended without resistance as he left the property and was subsequently transported to Kochi. Reports suggest he was en route to Coimbatore to inaugurate a new jewelry store. The actor, who was scheduled to co-inaugurate the store, ultimately proceeded without him.

Ernakulam Central Subdivision Assistant Commissioner C. Jayakumar stated that the arrest demonstrates the police’s commitment to acting swiftly and decisively on such complaints, drawing parallels to a previous case involving similar allegations. The Wayanad District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force assisted in the arrest.

The actor expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and Kerala Police on social media for their prompt response, highlighting the damaging effects of online harassment and the need for strong action against such perpetrators. She described the ordeal as a “planned campaign” utilizing social media to inflict harm.
