Thu Jan 09 10:29:04 UTC 2025: ## Second Sexual Harassment Complaint Filed Against Jailed Karnataka DSP

**Tumakuru, Karnataka –** A second sexual harassment complaint has been filed against suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) P. Ramachandrappa, currently in judicial custody at Tumakuru District Prison. The complaint, registered Thursday at the Madhugiri police station, alleges Ramachandrappa sexually assaulted a woman who had approached him seeking justice in a fraud case.

The victim, a married woman, had been cheated out of Rs 12 lakh in a property deal and, following advice from the State Women’s Commission, filed a police complaint. She claims Ramachandrappa repeatedly summoned her to the station and, on one occasion, assaulted her after asking her husband to wait outside.

This new complaint follows the January 4th arrest of Ramachandrappa after a 35-second video surfaced showing him in a compromising position with a woman in his office washroom. He was subsequently suspended by the Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. The initial complaint against him resulted in an FIR under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act.

The latest allegations have raised further concerns, particularly given Madhugiri’s location within the home district of State Home Minister G. Parameshwara. Police are currently investigating both complaints.
