Thu Jan 09 02:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Baltimore Braces for Icy Roads and Potential Weekend Snow
**BALTIMORE, MD** – Baltimore residents are urged to exercise caution as a blast of Arctic air sweeps through the region, leaving behind icy conditions and the potential for more snow this weekend.
Snow is expected to move out Monday night, but plummeting temperatures will cause remaining water and slush to freeze overnight, creating hazardous travel conditions. Tuesday’s high will only reach just above freezing, but strong winds gusting up to 35 miles per hour will make it feel significantly colder, and will also lead to blowing and drifting snow.
The cold, dry conditions are expected to persist through much of the week, meaning any accumulated snow is unlikely to melt quickly.
However, forecasters are keeping a close eye on another potential snow event this Saturday. While details remain scarce, residents are advised to monitor weather updates as the weekend approaches. The National Weather Service predicts partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 30s for much of the week, with lows dipping into the teens overnight.
