**Mungeli, Chhattisgarh –** A devastating silo collapse at the Kususm Steel plant in Mungeli district’s Saragaon area has claimed the lives of four workers, with four more feared trapped under the rubble. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon when a large cylindrical iron silo, used for storing bulk materials, unexpectedly collapsed, trapping approximately eight workers who were present at the time.
Mungeli Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel confirmed the fatalities and ongoing rescue efforts. Police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene immediately following the collapse and are working to extract the trapped workers. The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.
