**Thrissur, Kerala:** Renowned Malayalam playback singer P. Jayachandran passed away at the age of 80 on [Date of death] at Amala Hospital in Thrissur. Some of his most popular hits include “Manjalayil Mungi Thorthi”, “Anuraaga Gaanam”, and many more.

Jayachandran’s exceptional talent earned him numerous awards, including a National Award and five Kerala State Awards for Best Playback Singer, along with a Tamil Nadu State Award. He also received the JC Daniel Award in 2021. His contributions extended beyond cinema to encompass devotional and light music.
