KOCHI, INDIA – Boby Chemmannur, a businessman arrested on charges of sexually assaulting actress Honey Rose, has been remanded for 14 days. Following his court appearance, Chemmannur experienced a health issue, prompting a medical examination. Doctors reported his condition to be satisfactory, with normal ECG, X-ray results, oxygen levels, and blood pressure.
Chemmannur’s transfer to Kakkanad jail following the medical examination was met with public protests which briefly delayed the police vehicle. The arrest, which took place yesterday evening in Kochi after his apprehension at a Wayanad resort earlier in the day, followed a sexual assault complaint filed by Honey Rose. He was produced before the court at noon today. The court appearance concluded with Chemmannur collapsing in the courtroom before being taken to the hospital for medical attention.
