Kochi, [Date]: The bail hearing for Bobby Chemmannur, arrested on charges of assaulting actress Honey Rose, concluded today. The prosecution argued that Chemmannur had inappropriately touched Honey Rose without her consent, causing her significant distress during a public event. They emphasized that the alleged assault was witnessed by thousands and subsequently circulated on social media, constituting a serious offense. The prosecution contended that Chemmannur made suggestive and ambiguous remarks, followed by continuous attempts to harass Honey Rose. They opposed bail, citing Chemmannur’s influence and the possibility of him absconding.
Chemmannur’s defense, however, maintained his innocence, claiming he had merely referenced a character from the Mahabharata and had committed no offense requiring an apology. Advocate B.
