Tue Jan 07 21:07:26 UTC 2025: **Prashant Kishor’s Vanity Van Seized Amidst BPSC Exam Protest**
PATNA, BIHAR— Prashant Kishor, the political strategist currently undertaking a fast-unto-death in Patna alongside students protesting the cancellation of the 70th BPSC preliminary exam, is facing scrutiny over his luxury vanity van. Authorities have seized the vehicle following an investigation that revealed multiple irregularities in its registration and chassis number.
The Bihar transport department has impounded the van and initiated a forensic science laboratory (FSL) investigation. Eleven discrepancies were found, including inconsistencies in the vehicle number, model, manufacturer logo, wheelbase, seating capacity, and the absence of a registered value. The van, registered in Sangrur (PB13 AY 9000), was reportedly purchased in 2011.
The driver initially claimed ownership belonged to a former MP from Purnea. Kishor used the van during his protest at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The ongoing investigation is focused on determining the extent of any tampering or fraudulent activity related to the vehicle’s registration. This development adds another layer to the already tense situation surrounding the BPSC exam controversy and Kishor’s high-profile protest.
