**New Delhi, January 7, 2025** – Newly listed digital wallet provider MobiKwik (One MobiKwik Systems Ltd.) announced a net loss of ₹3.59 crore (approximately $4.4 million USD) for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025 (ending September 2024), a significant downturn from the ₹6 crore profit reported in the same period last year. This is the company’s first quarterly report since its listing last month, which saw its shares debut at a 57.7% premium.
Despite the loss, MobiKwik reported a substantial increase in total income, rising to ₹294 crore from ₹207 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. This growth, however, was offset by a rise in total expenses from ₹196 crore to ₹287 crore. The company attributed the loss to continued investments aimed at future growth. Positive developments included an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization) of ₹7 crore, driven by improved contribution margins and optimized costs.
Executive Director Upasana Taku stated that the company is focused on balancing growth and profitability through market share expansion and the introduction of innovative products.
