**Jhansi, India** – In a stunning turn of events, a man reported dead 17 years ago has been found alive in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Nathuni Pal, 50, a resident of Deoria, Bihar, was discovered by Jhansi Police during a routine patrol on January 6th. His reappearance exonerates four men – his paternal uncle and three brothers – who served eight months in jail each for his alleged murder. His uncle has since passed away, but the three brothers were released on bail pending the ongoing court case.
Pal, who had been living alone in Jhansi for six months, explained that he had been estranged from his family for many years. He stated that he left his home in Bihar around 16 years ago after the death of his parents and the departure of his wife. His sudden disappearance in 2009 (or earlier) led to a complaint filed by his maternal uncle accusing his paternal relatives of murdering him to seize his land.
Satendra Pal, one of the accused brothers, expressed overwhelming relief at the news, stating that the family is finally free from the accusation of murder. The case, which has been ongoing since the initial complaint, remains in court. However, Pal’s reappearance significantly alters the narrative and throws the original charges into serious question.
