**Kochi, January 8, 2025** – Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas, who suffered severe head and lung injuries in a fall from a makeshift stage on December 29th, is showing significant improvement, Kerala Health Minister Veena George announced today.
Minister George visited Ms. Thomas at Renai Medicity Hospital in Kochi and spoke with her medical team. She reported that while the MLA will remain in the ICU for another week, her condition has progressed positively. Ms. Thomas is now able to sit up with assistance, and her lung contusion has not deteriorated. The Minister also met with Ms. Thomas’ children.
