**KOCHI, January 8, 2025** – The Thrikkakara municipality council received the detailed project report (DPR) for a proposed waste treatment plant on Tuesday. The DPR was reviewed at a meeting led by chairperson Radhamani Pillai, with several council members in attendance. Despite initial concerns over payments to a private waste contractor, sources report that the movement of biodegradable waste has remained uninterrupted. The issue of outstanding payments has reportedly been resolved.
