**Dallas, TX –** A major winter storm is poised to hit the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area Thursday, bringing significant snow accumulations and widespread travel disruptions, according to FOX 4 Weather. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for much of North Texas from late Wednesday night through Friday afternoon.
While the forecast is still being refined, the FOX 4 Weather team predicts the storm will bring a wintry mix south of DFW on Thursday, transitioning to heavier snowfall Thursday night into Friday morning. Snow is expected to continue into early Friday before moving out.
