**Thiruvananthapuram:** Health, Women, and Child Development Minister Veena George has strongly condemned the abuse and humiliation of women, stating that the legal action taken against businessman Bobby Chemmannur serves as a stern warning. The Minister lauded the actress Honey Rose’s courage in pursuing legal action, emphasizing that the government will take firm and impartial action against all perpetrators of violence and discrimination against women.
Chemmannur was arrested by Kochi Central Police this morning following a sexual harassment complaint filed by actress Honey Rose. He was taken into custody from Wayanad and brought to Kochi. Non-bailable charges have been filed against him. Reports suggest he may be presented before court later today. His arrest followed a dramatic police operation, where his vehicle was intercepted, and he was taken into custody despite his offer to travel to the station in his own vehicle. Honey Rose has since recorded her statement with police and expressed gratitude for the support received from the authorities. The police have also seized Chemmannur’s mobile phone for forensic examination.
