Tue Jan 07 12:50:33 IST 2025: **Prashant Kishor Hospitalized After Six Days of Hunger Strike**

Patna, Bihar – Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraj party, was hospitalized today after six days of a hunger strike protesting the handling of the BPSC exam controversy. Kishor’s health deteriorated this morning, leading to his transfer to Medanta Hospital. Ambulance services transported him from his residence, accompanied by party workers.

Kishor, who was recently released from police custody after a peaceful protest, had vowed to continue his fast. He had previously criticized the Bihar government’s handling of the situation, alleging heavy-handed tactics against protesting students. He also called out Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav for not actively participating in supporting the students’ cause. Kishor’s team shared a social media post highlighting the ongoing protest.

The Supreme Court is hearing a petition today challenging the results of the BPSC’s 70th preliminary exam and demanding action against police and administrative officials involved in the crackdown on protesters. Meanwhile, other opposition figures, including Pappu Yadav, continue their protests, with Yadav announcing a Bihar bandh for January 12th.

Kishor’s hospitalization marks a significant development in the ongoing dispute. The location of his future protests remains undecided, pending a meeting of the Yuva Sangharsh Samiti. His party, Jan Suraj, also plans to file a petition in the High Court regarding the BPSC exam.
