**SACRAMENTO, Calif. –** The Sacramento Kings secured their third consecutive victory Friday night, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in a thrilling 138-130 contest. Malik Monk led the Kings with 31 points, while DeMar DeRozan contributed 29 and De’Aaron Fox added 23. The Grizzlies were paced by Jaylen Wells’ 30 points and Jarren Jackson Jr.’s 28.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams showcasing high-octane offenses. The Kings held a slight lead at halftime (78-72) and after three quarters (102-100). The Grizzlies briefly took the lead in the fourth, but a decisive 20-10 run by the Kings, capped by a Monk three-pointer, secured the victory.

Zach Edey made his return from a concussion, contributing nine points and seven rebounds off the bench for Sacramento. However, the Kings were without Keegan Murray (left ankle soreness) for the second straight game. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies were missing Ja Morant (right AC joint strain) and Marcus Smart (right index finger). Adding to the night’s intrigue, Kings rookie Devin Carter, son of Grizzlies assistant coach Anthony Carter, made his NBA debut.

The first half alone saw a combined 150 points, with both teams shooting over 50% from the field. The first quarter was particularly explosive, featuring 17 combined three-pointers. The Kings’ impressive ball movement resulted in 21 assists in the first half alone.

The Kings will next face the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, while the Grizzlies conclude their road trip against the same opponent on Saturday.
