**Kozhikode, Kerala – January 7, 2025** – A 26-year-old man was arrested this morning by Nadakkavu police in Kozhikode for allegedly sexually harassing a 19-year-old woman on a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus.
The incident occurred on a bus traveling from Ernakulam to Hassan, Karnataka, via Kozhikode. Mustafa, a resident of Iswaramangalam in Malappuram district, boarded the bus in Edappal and sat next to the victim. According to police, he inappropriately touched the woman, prompting her to alert the bus staff.
Mustafa has been charged under sections 74 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 75 (sexual harassment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He is scheduled to appear before the Judicial First Class Magistrate-IV Court, Kozhikode, later today.
