**GWALIOR, INDIA (January 7, 2025)** – A 25-year-old junior doctor was allegedly raped by a colleague at an abandoned hostel in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, police reported. The incident occurred on Sunday, January 5th, 2025. The accused, also a 25-year-old junior doctor and acquaintance of the victim, was arrested on Monday, January 6th, 2025.
The victim, who was preparing for an exam, was staying at the girls’ hostel of Gajraraja Medical College. The accused lured her to a derelict boys’ hostel, where he allegedly threatened and raped her. Following a complaint filed at Kampu police station, the accused was apprehended and charged under relevant laws. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
