NEW DELHI — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 will be held from January 22 to 30, 2024. The exam, a crucial gateway for undergraduate engineering and architecture admissions in India, will offer BTech, BE, BArch, and BPlanning programs. A second session is scheduled for April 2024.

Key details released by the NTA include:
* **Exam Cities:** Candidates will be given four choices of exam cities based on their provided addresses. International applicants will have the option to select a nearby examination center or a city within India.
* **Aadhaar:** While Aadhaar authentication is optional, candidates are encouraged to update their Aadhaar details for verification.
* **Eligibility:** PwBD/PwD candidates should follow guidelines outlined in the RPwD Act, 2016 and relevant Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment office memorandums.
* **Exam Languages:** Following the National Education Policy (NEP), the exam will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
* **Category Certificates:** Instead of uploading category certificates, applicants must provide the certificate number, date of issue, and issuing authority. If the certificate is pending, applicants should provide acknowledgement/receipt details.
* **Document Submission:** Candidates are not required to send any documents to the NTA by post, fax, email, or any other means. Admit cards will be available for download from the NTA website.
* **Exam Date/Slot Selection:** Exam dates and slots are randomly allocated by computer and cannot be changed by candidates.
* **Changing Exam Centers:** Exam centers cannot be changed after roll number allotment.
