**Chandigarh, India (December 31, 2024)** – Banks in Chandigarh will be closed on January 6, 2025, in observance of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, the birthday of the tenth Sikh Guru. While the holiday is not observed nationally, the Haryana government has declared it a public holiday, resulting in the closure of banks and other institutions in the region.
