The victory was largely due to a breathtaking bowling performance by Rashid Khan, who claimed a seven-wicket haul in the second innings, finishing with a remarkable match haul of 11 wickets.
Zimbabwe, resuming their second innings on 205 for 8, were quickly dismissed without adding to their overnight score.
